So I thought it would be a good idea to try to write something every day, and obviously I’ve failed miserably.  Ah, well, such is life.

I’m back home sitting at my sister’s house with three dogs and the Food Network.  Good, good, good.  Em should be home in an hour or so to go walk the dogs and update me on the lunatic situation.

So, eh, nothing really to say right now.

There’s so much nonsense/drama going on right now and we’re all just waiting for these loons to get caught and spend some quality time in jail.  Until then, it’s all on pins and needles hoping nothing else happens.  But really, I don’t really want to talk about it anymore, right now.  I’ll probably lay it all out here later, when it’s all over, but not yet.

Decided I have to work Friday, so don’t get to go home tonight.

Got into grad school a couple days ago.

Yay.

Long freakin day.  Started yesterday at 8 am and  ended today around 7:45PM.  LOOONG dany at work.  So, I think I

‘m going to try to make tomorrow be Friday and take my three day weekend.  I was originally thinking of doing Monday, but I wanna go home and carve me a watermelon and get the Captain’s bus costume all made up.  Pretty excited about the bus costume, not gonna lie.

So, even though it’s been a while, I don’t really have anything to say.  I feel like I should have something to say for myself over such a long period of time (ok, I don’t remember how long, but it seems like a while), but I just don’t.  I’m pretty lame, and, I realize more and more, I like it that way.  I like my lame life of  going to work, coming home to put on pj’s at 5, then hanging out around home reading, watching TV or movies, cleaning, talking on the phone or messenger, and then falling asleep at 1130ish.  It’s really lame, but I can’t think of a point in my future where my days will ever be so simple again.  So I’m learning to cherish it.

I’m learning that I do cherish it.  It’s my life, and I’ll be a lazy as spunk if I want to.

Another awesome weekend with the love down and gone, and of course I wish it could have lasted forever.  He came with me to work in Des Moines at a climate carnival that was better attended than I thought would be, given that an exhaustive (10 whole wide minutes) search on the internet yielded no advertising for it.  Met some new people, some teachers, hung out with the loves, played with some cars, turtles, and children, then attempted to drive across the  Des Moines area to an AEA that just happened to be where we were after we took a few wrong turns. GO TEAM!

Speaking of teams, tonight is a new Venture Brothers! Hellz to the Yes (yes, my slang and shit is outdated.  What of it?  You mockin me? WANNA GO?! HUH, PUNK?! I’M BIGGER THAN YOU!).  I’m so freakin excited, mostly because my life, while I do enjoy it more and more every day in its changes, is pretty damn lame.

Also, apparently we’re going to Boston for Christmas this year.  I’ll have to pay for my plane ticket and spend oodles of quality time with the Christian zealot in-laws in the heart of a holy season, but DAMN I want to see New England at Christmas.  The love and I went to Boston for spring break a few years ago and I LOVED IT.  It was by far the most beautiful place I’d ever been, with the coolest buildings, landscapes, neighborhoods, and accents.  And i LOVE Christmas.  It’s easily my favorite time of the year ( and I don’t even weaponize a storybook! Christmas is just THAT awesome). So as long as I can get my ticket for a reasonable price, I’ll be going with them to Boston for four whole days, staying with the love’s uncle, which means no hotel.  The cheap lodging is the main reason I’m excited for this trip.  Hotels are the worst part of traveling and free lodging means I can probably afford this trip, something I won’t probably be able to do again for several years.

I’ve finished the last Harry Potter and am now onto the penultimate.  I picked it up just for the much-needed laundry trip today and it was a savior! I was there for almost two hours since one of the driers sucked and the book gave me something to do and a bit of vicarious excitement.

I’m also thinking of doing NaNoWriMo but don’t have anything to write about.  I’ve thought about just babbling for 50,000 words, but I think I can do better than that.

I really should do dishes but I’m just so farkin lazy.

What a shitty blogger am I

Really, it hasn’t.  I’m still whiney, though I was talking to people at work today and realized that while I have no one around here to call for a ride home if my car breaks down or I get sick somewhere or something, and no one to go out with when I’m in the mood (which is admittedly rarely), I’m kinda starting to like living on my own with all my friends far away and no real way to make new friends here.

I’ll write it down here because I want to remember when I bought it, so I can say in five years when I’m wearing this sweater “hey, this sweater is five years old and I can prove it because I wrote it down the day after I bought it!”

Good story, right?

Not so much.

I found a steak in the freezer at lunch today and left it sitting out to defrost (not dethaw-there’s no such word!  de-thaw, if it existed, would mean to freeze, as in to UN thaw, and that’s the opposite of what we’re shooting for) and cooked it up for supper.  It was great, even though I didn’t do any fancy cooking stuff to it, just added a touch of season salt.  I’m one helluva chef!  Or something. Because it turns out that was pretty much all the food in the apartment and now I’m still hungry after my little steak and I don’t want to go back outside and I don’t want to spend more money.  What I really want now is donuts.  I love donuts.

Really, my life is pretty lame at the moment.  I’m re reading the last Harry Potter book and the new Frasier has not netflixed its way here yet, and the things I really need to do involve a vacuum, dish soap, and a bunch of quarters, and I just really don’t want to do those things.  They’re lame little chores that can kiss my ass because I’m lazy.  That’s why I bought this new sweater!
