I kicked him today. And threw things at him.
And I will never love myself again. I can’t believe who I’ve become.

Just A Thought

Health care should be free for everyone and should be of the exact same extremely high quality for everyone. Cosmetic surgery for any purpose outside reconstructions related to disaster and trauma should cost millions and millions and MILLIONS OF DOLLARS for those narcissistic enough to risk their lives to be “pretty” or “sexy”.
Who Cares?

I didn’t realize Golden Girls was on at 7 AM. I kinda remember it being on at 8. Ah well, such are the things that don’t matter.
Also, my followers have been cut in half! Wonder why…

Broken, Day 1
November 23, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Day 1 of the Great and Glorious Break is over, and it sure felt fine. I read www.dooce.com most of the day and watched movies the other half. I gotta say, I really am falling in love with Netflix. National Treasure 2, the new Indiana Jones (so not impressed), Chocolat (to be used for my Religion & Ethics collection of movie extra credit essays), and Dan in Real Life (nothing like what I expected, but still great).
Break broke in a wonderful and spectacular way in which I did almost nothing. The most ambitious and productive event of the day was to take Da Love to the car place (where I found out that getting the wall paint off my car will be pretty cheap) and then to McD for breakfast, which I don’t think I’ve ever had before. The Egg McMuffin was not impressive, but I loved the hashbrowns, what with their potatoness and greasiness and saltiness. It’s death in a wax paper pouch and boy howdy do I love it. Nothing makes me feel more alive than death (though I think this can be said of a lot of 23 year olds).
(Yes, I do know that I have issues with food.)
So that was the bulk of the day, and then we went to bed after a failed and heartbreaking attempt. I resumed the movie I had previously been watching via XBox on the big TV, but now on the tiny laptop (Netflix rox!) and Da Love napped beside me for a while.
Around 11 PM he decided he could not live without ice cream, so he ran to the gas station and picked up Ben & Jerry’s Steven Colbert ice cream (I can’t remember what the cute name of it is), which had vanilla ice cream, chocolate-covered waffle cone bits, and a swirl of caramel that Da Love hadn’t seen coming, but when he found it, he nearly “erupted” (hehehe euphemisms). We finished it off and woke up with the worst breath out of both ends we’ve had in a long time. It was totally worth it, not just because it was ice cream and ice cream is always worth it, but because we shared an experience together that could at least in some way make up for the earlier failed attempt at “experience sharing.”
I’m hoping today will be as good as yesterday, because tomorrow I go back to work and the library for school. Got papers to write and job to do and interviews to do this week! And of course Thanksgiving.

Perhaps I Are Nutz

Dave asked me last week if, that since I’m generally so excitable, do I have periods when I’m really down. I had a very quick conversation in my head (yet further indication of my insanity) and decided that if I let my self think about it I’d lie. So I didn’t think and just said that yes, yes I do have down periods and they’re pretty dramatic. At that moment I saw pity and fear in his face. He knows as well as I do that I’m nuts.
Da Love asked me today if I feel bad getting so many people hurt. I had to say that no, I don’t, and in fact it is awesome, just absolutely awesome.
I have no problem with the real words: penis, vagina, sex, and others I can’t think of now. I use euphemisms because they make me giggle. “He slowly thrust his broom handle into her doorway.” Yes, they’re stupid and undeniably childish, but that is why I love them. I do not, on the other hand, like the words dick or cunt at all. I do not like them at all Sam I’m Not. Fuck doesn’t bother me a fuckin bit tho. Fuckety fuck fuck.

Religion & Sexuality: The Federal Government Still Connects AIDS and LGBT
November 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Dr. Hill-
In my few minutes of not doing homework or working, I decided to be a conscientious citizen and see what our president-elect has to say about what we’re talking about. It is here:
http://www.change.gov/agenda/civil_rights_agenda/
What struck me most was that HIV/AIDS are indeed connected to LGBT. The discussion of HIV/AIDS falls under the category of “Support for the LGBT Community”. Amina was on to something I think we all thought the more educated of our population had moved past. And here the connection is, [the connection] seeming to be endorsed by the government. The only two other places it is mentioned on the site are under “Science” and “Women” (see the search at http://change.gov/search/results/5feeedbb05c5a6a4633fe2dfbf4dd941/).
This seemed worth sharing in light of the apparent response of appalled by most of the class that this connection is still being made.

Palin has a vagina-Who gives a damn?
November 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I am inclined to agree with Boston Legal that it is indeed sexism to vote for Sarah Palin solely because she is a woman, just as much as it is sexism not to vote for her solely because she is a woman. If one were to have previously planned to vote for Hilary because Hilary is a woman (sexism), and then changed their vote to McCain because he had a vagina on board (Palin), that is even further blatant sexism because Palin’s views were diametrically opposed to those of Hilary. This makes it further evident that the vote is for vagina and not for government.

My Little Guy

I finally took car in to get fixed this morning and found out that the brake cables are ancient and need to be replaced, the transmission needs to be dumped and flushed, and one of the door mechanisms needs to be replaced. One thing at a time, per paycheck. The transmission issue I think I will take somewhere else to make it cheaper. For now, it’s just the brakes because they seem like the most important safety issue.
